Storytelling helps us celebrate our culture and
preserve our rich heritage. Everyone, young
and old and in-between, will enjoy all the talented
artists that take you to other times and
places. They will make you laugh and smile
and bring tears to your eyes.
The Festival attracts local attendance and
visitors from across the state and from
neighboring states and beyond. It is an event
that showcases the assets and hospitality
Scotland County offers.
We need your support to make the annual Storytelling
Festival of Carolina a success. Presenting
a prestigious event requires an investment
of thousands of dollars and the efforts
of many dedicated volunteers. Storyteller stipends,
huge tents, excellent sound systems and
technicians, travel expenses, advertising, and
so much more are all part of making the festival
a professional product.

Be a Secret Story Pal
Storytelling is an art that touches the heart of every listener. Storytellers evoke
so many different feelings in each of us — joy, laughter, tears and reminisces of past experiences. We hope everyone interested in
attending this wonderful weekend will be given the opportunity to attend and though we have made sure
that the admission cost is very reasonable, it still may be difficult for families with limited incomes.
That is why we are inviting you to be a Secret Story Pal. For every $50 you donate, a family will receive
free admission to the Storytelling Festival of Carolina from their Secret Story Pal. Through the generous
donations of Secret Story Pals, nonprofit organizations and government agencies that serve low-income
families will be provided tickets to be given to interested families. You may view and print the Secret Story
